For this production of Dragons Love Tacos, I was a scenic painter, executing a whimsical, cartoon-style world defined by solid colors, crisp outlines, and playful graphic elements, including a stylized, line-art fireplace that I executed myself. I translated the concept paint elevations by scenic designer Annamarie Goosley into large-scale set pieces.

A distinctive element of this set was the use of UV paint. Under standard stage lighting, the set appeared bright and playful, but during the show’s destruction sequence, blacklight revealed the hidden “destroyed” version, featuring, cracks, scratches, distressed surfaces, and a clock with broken glass- instantly transforming the set without any physical changes.
