For Airness at Le Moyne College, I served as Assistant Technical Director and Scenic Painter, creating a variety of scenic finishes that transformed standard theatrical materials into industrial environments. The production required surfaces that felt worn, utilitarian, and grounded in reality, supporting the play's setting while withstanding the demands of performance.

The stage floor was painted to resemble aged concrete through multiple layers of wet blending, splattering, washes, and poured paint techniques, creating subtle variations in color and texture that mimicked years of wear. I also fabricated and painted realistic brick walls using homasote board, peeling the material apart to expose its fibrous interior and produce a convincing masonry texture before applying layered scenic finishes. Additional work included painting distressed metal railings, weathered wood surfaces, and a center-stage turntable finished to resemble worn wooden planks.

The project emphasized observation and material illusion, using layered paint treatments and fabrication techniques to recreate the appearance of concrete, brick, metal, and aged wood while working entirely with standard theatrical materials.
